Thursday is going to be red meat for all you carnivores, so clear your calendars PNJ.com Written by Julio Diaz 10/1/2013 Seville Rotary will present the third annual Arrogant Steak Cook-Off at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St., and my steak-loving friends have been salivating for weeks. I swear, I caught one of them with a napkin tucked in his collar, walking around with a steak knife and fork and a glazed expression the other day. And no wonder. This competitive event features four-person teams offering up their most savory, juicy takes on New York Strip steaks, and if you go, you�re going to get to taste them all. That just got your juices going, didn�t it? Your $25 advanced ticket will get you into Seville Quarter�s party plaza to try all the steak creations, and will let you enjoy free beer courtesy of Escambia Bay Homebrew Club and Goldring Gulf Distributing Company. You�ll also get to vote in the people�s choice awards to determine trophies, bragging rights and prizes for the competitive teams. If still available, the ticket price goes up to $35 at the door. Proceeds will benefit Seville Rotary�s community efforts, including projects with West Pensacola Elementary School and United Cerebral Palsy.
