Le Grand Garnet Punch Cocktail

            Punches are back in style and are perfect for entertaining as the guests can help themselves to get the party started. The Le Grand Garnet Punch is a great holiday punch combining two of my favorite libations, Francois Montand Sparkling Rosé and the boldly juniper Hendrick’s Gin.  It’s got a bright ruby color, a hint of bubbles and a solid backbone of gin with all its botanicals. It’s pretty and festive and will get rave reviews!

Le Grand Garnet Punch

1 Cup fresh cranberries

3 Tbsp. extra fine sugar

Muddle, breaking the cranberries skin

Add ½ Cup Hendrick’s Gin (a little extra is ok! $41.99 in Seville’s Wine Shoppe)

3 sprigs fresh rosemary

Stir and refrigerate 1 hour

Add 2 Cups Ice Cubes (not crushed)

1 Cup pomegranate juice

1 bottle Francois Montand Brut Rosé ($11.99 in Seville’s Wine Shoppe – BEST deal in bubbles!)

Stir and pour into punch bowl

Serve in rocks glasses (Champagne flutes are tough to ladle but give it a try if you must) with 2 cubes of ice and a garnish of a sprig of rosemary.
