DJ Spin-Off Competition
So You Are the “Gulf Coast’s Ultimate DJ” ?
Seville Quarter DJ Spin-Off Competition starts September 17, 2010. Seville Quarter is looking for the BEST DJ on the GULF COAST. If you think you have the right stuff and you have what it takes, then this contest is for you. Judging criteria will be based on music selection, mixing ability, stage presence and crowd response.
This competition comes with many rewards: Weekly preliminary winners and prizes, grand final runner-up prizes, champion winner prizes including $1000 cash, DJ equipment and more! The most important prize of all is being named the “Gulf Coast’s Ultimate DJ!” All DJ’s in the competition also have the chance of being Seville Quarter’s next resident DJ, which has just been named in the Top 100 Clubs in the U.S! To be considered for this competition you must submit the application and a signed rules and regulations waiver. Seville Quarter Ultimate DJ Spin-Off Competition
Rules and Regulations1. This is a 4 week competition with three preliminary rounds and the 4th week being the finals.
2. Each week, one or two DJ’s (depending on judgment panel’s final decision) will qualify to be in the finals.
3. Judging criteria will be based on music selection, mixing ability, stage presence and crowd response.
4. Each DJ will be given a 15 minute set up time and a 30 minute performance time.
5. After 15 minutes of play time, if all judges simultaneously are holding red flags the DJ is immediately eliminated from the competition and must exit the stage.
6. Any DJ at any time may immediately be disqualified from the competition for things such as, but not limited to, inappropriate behavior, damage to equipment and inability to perform.
7. There will be a technician on hand to help connect your equipment to the existing house set up.
8. Seville Quarter will provide 2 Pioneer DVJ’s, a wireless microphone, a mixer, connections to our HD video screens (for video DJ’s) and all audio speakers. You may bring your own DJ equipment but MUST be a quick change over.
9. Seville Quarter is not responsible for any damage to equipment that is not property of Seville Quarter.
10. All applicants must be 18 or older to enter the competition. 18 – 20 years of age will not be allowed to drink and this rule is strictly enforced. If caught you will be disqualified and escorted off the premises.
